


The Chicago Cubs Convention is a three day family occasion which is held at the Hilton Chicago at 720 S. Michigan Avenue each winter.At the Cubs convention, fans have the chance to combine with current and previous Cubs players, broadcasters and front office executives. Activities take place such as autograph and photo sessions, question and answer group discussion, baseball doctors, hard to find Cubs paraphernalia and a lot more. This three day event will be attended by more than 15,000 fans. Past year's events have been attended by a lot of Cubs heroes such as Sammy Sosa, Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Corey Patterson, Ernie Banks, Ryne Sandberg, Billy Williams and Lee Smith. The 2005 attendees will be known in the fall.
All profits the Cubs Convention gets go to Cubs Care, the charitable beneficiary of the Chicago Cubs. Cubs Care is funded by the McCormick Tribune Foundation which offers a large match of all monies donated to the Cubs Care. This event has raised nearly $four million for Cubs Care over the past 19 years.The Cubs Convention is a yearly kick off for spring training and Cubs Care's key fund raising event.The Chicago Cubs' Marketing Department stated that the 2005 Cubs Convention is very limited, so hurry up before it gets sold out. This is considered to be the fastest sellout in the twenty year history of the Convention. Weekend passes are also available for everyone.
