BULLS BECOME FIRST TO REACH 70-WIN PLATEAU
Chicago Bulls 86
Milwaukee Bucks Basketball 80
April 16, 1996, Bradley Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Chicago's six-point win up the road in Milwaukee will not go down as one of the greatest games ever played. Its significance, however, is difficult to dispute.
No team in NBA history had ever won a 70th game until the Bulls reached the milestone in this defensive battle at the Bradley Center. The 1971-72 Lakers had won 69. Milwaukee Bucks Tickets are available in our stocks. Two weeks earlier, Chicago had set an NBA record by winning its 44th consecutive home game, a streak that spanned two seasons. Overall, the Bulls won 18 in a row during one stretch and 41 of 44 to start the campaign. Their final ledger of 72-10 remains a record. Of course, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen & Co. would have considered it all for naught if a championship hadn't followed. They went on to defeat Seattle , in six games for their fourth title in six years. Milwaukee Bucks Schedule can be viewed to check out their games.
