March 28, 1995, Madison Square Garden, New York, New York
One number changed. He wore No. 45 on his jersey instead of his traditional No. 23. Another was quite familiar: 55, as in points. Five games into his first comeback, Michael Jordan reached that total for the 13th time in his career.
When Jordan had announced "I'm back" less than two weeks earlier in the 1994-95 season, most expected it would take him a while to readjust after 21 months off. The found out the hard way how wrong that was. Jordan left a packed house at Madison Square Garden and a national TV audience breathless with an array of 3-pointers, double-pump lay-ups and ' fade away jumpers in traffic.
For all the points, Jordan's best play of the night was a dramatic assist. He found teammate Bill Wennington for an uncontested slam dunk in the final seconds as the Bulls handed the Knicks a 113-111 setback (New York Knicks Schedule).
