1959-60 Wilt Chamberlain revives a Philadelphia Warriors team that has slipped. "The Stilt" posts scoring averages of 33-plus points in each of his first seven seasons, including 50.4 PPG and 25.7 RPG in 1961-62.
1960 On March 2, in a game against New York in Hershey, Pa., Chamberlain sets a record that might never be broken, scoring 100 points. He shoots 36-of-63 from the floor and 28-of-32 from the line.

1965 On January 15, Chamberlain is traded to the 76ers for three players and cash. The emergence of Rick Barry, a rookie in 1965-66, helps ease the pain felt by the fans.

1996-97 Golden State makes San Jose its temporary home when the Oakland Coliseum undergoes renovations.
2001-02 Jason Richardson, drafted fifth overall, wins MVP honors in the All-Star Rookie Challenge and the first of two Slam Dunk titles.
