NFL Hall Of Fame Enshrinement Tickets

It's not exactly innovative, but it surely is contemporary. When fans explore the Pro Football Hall of Fame after June 15, they no longer will see effigy busts sitting there.
Those busts will, in a way, come to existence.

It is all part of a $1.7 million overhaul project the NFL Hall Of Fame Enshrinement Tickets is undergoing that maximizes room in the enshrinement galley areas, which is where the 221 busts of past greats of the game are displayed. The enshrinement gallery is the one place every visitor makes sure to see.
Now those greats come to life.

"We've taken what used to be a static display and made it interactive," said Joe Horrigan, the Hall's vice president of communications and exhibits.
The new enshrinement gallery will bring organization to the arrangement of busts. Before, the busts were displayed arbitrarily.

Now, they will be displayed by enshrinement class from the agreement group to the most recent at the end of the gallery. The busts will sit on a Lucite foundation. Filaments will run through the foundation and discharge light onto the busts from the bottom. Overhead spotlights will shine from the ceiling.
Each Hall of Famer's name will be imprinted in marble on the wall behind the bust.
And the showpiece magnetism, which will bring life and motion to the gallery, is six interactive kiosks in the middle of the room. Six 36-inch high-definition plasma televisions will allow fans to touch the screen and bring up biographical data, every Hall of Famer's picture and a highlight video on their favorite greats.
By reorganizing the area, the Hall has given itself at least 25 more years of space for future classes. It could be as much as 30 years if the charter class, the largest group ever enshrined at 17, is moved to the wall at the entrance of the gallery.

"We worn out the space we have dedicated to the Enshrinement Tickets galleries," Hall Executive Director John Bankert said. "We were out of room. The new gallery is going to be wonderful. The busts will still be the focal point of the display, but we will be able to use the space more efficiently. The plasma screens will be something inspiring."
Hall of Fame officials took a display to the owners' meetings this year to show what the new gallery will look like.

"You have to remember, there are 32 pretty conservative gentlemen in the room," Horrigan said. "They were pretty impressed by the new look. You should have seen them looking at the plasma TVs and touching them and bringing up information."
The design and development of the NFL Hall Of Fame Enshrinement Tickets was two years in the making.
The renovation is the second major investment the Hall of Fame made during its last 10-year period. In 1995, the Hall of Fame, the NFL and private local donations paid for a rotating theater, GameDay Stadium, which has become a popular attraction. It was added at a cost of more than $9 million.
"We forget the work that goes into something like this and how much the Hall has changed in the last 10 years," former Hall director Pete Elliott said. "We forget because we're constantly adding and changing and making it better."

The technological enhancement couldn't come at a better time. As part of the Hall's 40th anniversary, the NFL has invited all members of the Hall to return to Canton this year to help celebrate the occasion
