


Pittsburgh Steelers Community Relations Programs:
The Pittsburgh Steelers are conceited to be a part of the western Pennsylvania community. The organization's strong promise to this area dates back to 1933 when Arthur J. Rooney first founded the team. Pittsburgh Steelers chairman Dan Rooney and President Art Rooney II are known as two of the most active NFL owners and are some of Pittsburgh's most concerned executives in civic affairs. Pittsburgh Steelers players, coaches and front office staff are concerned in appearances, altruistic donations and outreach programs with non-profit and community groups. It's our way of giving back to the society that has given us so much for more than 70 years!
24 Challenge Math Program:
The Pittsburgh Steelers provides as voluntary chairs of this Pennsylvania-based math program. The 24® game is a ground-breaking tool that reinforces mental mathematics, difficulty solving, prototype sensing, attentiveness and critical thinking. The Pittsburgh Steelers are also a co-sponsor of the new McDonald's First in Math program, along with Coca-Cola. The program is an online version of the 24 game and McDonald's invited elementary and middle schools in the Pittsburgh/Western PA/Eastern Ohio/West Virginia and Northeast Ohio markets to participate.
All-Pro Dad:
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Jay Riemersma is affiliated with the All-Pro Dad Team, a agenda of Family First. The All-Pro Dad Team is a reserve for men who want to become improved fathers. Team members include active NFL players, coaches and graduates who speak to fathers about positive parenting through radio and TV spots and billboards. Art Rooney Scholarship Fund:
Scholarships are yearly awarded to an older at the three North Side high schools in honor of Art Rooney Sr. the winners are familiar during a pre game appearance each season.
The Scholarship is funded by the annual Gatorade/Steelers 5K Race and profits from the silent auction at the annual kickoff luncheon. As part of their business sponsorships, Dean's Dairy and Sony made donations to the Scholarship Fund at separate presentations during Pittsburgh Steelers regular season home games.
