cheerleaders party itself is enough of a theme but one could try team mascots, for a change. The Super Bowl Cheer Leader Party is being held at a rental facility which will need a higher budget than any thing; think about hiring help, decorations, food, prizes and recording the event.
A location with the biggest television one can find. A tailgate party will be outside before the game. One could have someone act as a "scalper" trying to sell tickets outside. Have local kids tossing a football around out front, cheerleaders at the entry. Make a "go team" sign made out of paper that the team breaks through to enter the playing field (your entry). Turn a ping-pong table, or green tablecloth, into a football field to serve food from. Tie a blimp shaped balloon to hang over the field. Video the event, with an announcer announcing the line-up (guests) and doing the play by play party events.
Rent a big bus and decorate it with the team logo on the side. Okay maybe that's over the top for the average party, but one could rent a van and put the logos in the windows.
Come in costumes from Football players, cheerleaders, to trainers or announcers whichever. Send invitations made out of felt in the shape of pennants or that look like Super Bowl tickets. The big game must be on the TV! Lay some Astroturf on the floor. Replace furniture with team benches and lockers, maybe recliners are the way to go, don't forget the remotes too. A scoreboard might be nice to help keep score. Use Super Bowl posters, helmets, footballs, pompoms, megaphones, and team mascots and memorabilia. The table decor should include as much NFL stuff as you can find. Place a football on a kicking tee for the centerpiece. Placemats can be team pennants. Before the game have everyone fill out Super Bowl trivia questionnaires: who will sing national anthem, first commercial at halftime, which will score first, first sac, field goal...
Have guests team up and design their own halftime commercials that we should see.
Pass the bowl - Everyone puts a coin in a bowl, after each play the bowl is passed to the next person who either places another coin in the bowl or wins its contents if a touchdown is scored, start over again. Of course have a pool to guess the winner of the game, who will win the coin toss, the next commercial. During the game you might want to hire some local kids to toss that popcorn and serve "hot dawgs" to your guests. Football items, NFL or team items fill a cooler with specialty beers, sports almanac, trading cards. A trophy to the MVG (most valuable guest), the one who had the highest score on the trivia game. Give awards for the best commercials and to the NFL cheerleader. A big television or a recliner and remote would be a good prize. If your budget is a little smaller try footballs, team jerseys or custom imprinted items with guests' information on them, pompoms, football protective gear, tabletop football, and a duct tape book.
The Prize Patrol should arrive and award the hot cheerleaders a one million dollar big check and give balloons and flowers to some lucky guest and video record it as if they had really won.
Make pretend tickets to Disney World with thank you and pictures of the event incorporated into them.
