During the Super Bowl Weekend, The Gospel Celebration Event, a part of the NFL Concert Series, has attracted thousands of people/fans and has proven to be one of the most important and loved events. The gospel concert hosts the industries top artists and many other existing and previous Christian NFL players each year. In the 2003 Super Bowl Gospel Concert, More than seven thousand participated. The Jan 24 event featured Grammy winning artists Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams and Donnie McClurkin. The celebration was considered to be an active movement of worship crew.
The 2003 celebration also presented the audience an exclusive combination of entertainment, event spokesperson Melanie Few said. The event was designed to give the community a chance to experience the Super Bowl weekend with an impressive family oriented event.
In the Gospel Celebration of 2004, many audience members were greatly expected the performances of heavy hitters such as Yolanda Adams, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Mary Mary, Pastor John P. Kee and New Life Community Choir, Patti Labelle and Kim Burrell.
Dallas Cowboys' Quincy Carter and the Hall of Famer, Cris Carter were the Hosts for the evening. Ms. Yolanda Adams was the co-host. Percy Bady was the band director for the event.
