Jeff Fisher
Pro Career: Jeff Fisher became the franchise's fifŽteenth head coach on January 5, 1995 after closing his first campaign as head coach/defensive coordinator. He replaced Jack Pardee on November 14, 1994, serving the remaining six games as head coach. Jeff Fisher is the winningest coach in the NFL during the last five seasons, comŽpiling 56 victories, and is the winningest head coach in franchise history with 93 wins. Last year he became the fourth youngest coach, 45 since 1960 to reach 80 regular-season victories (Don Shula, John Madden, and Bill Cowher. Throughout the past five seasons, Jeff Fisher has led the Tennessee Titans to four playoff appearŽances, two AFC Championship Games, two division titles, and a berth in Super Bowl XXXIV. In 2000, Jeff Fisher became only the fifth coach in NFL history to lead his team to consecutive 13-win seasons, joining Mike Holmgren, George Seifert, Mary Levy, and Mike Ditka. Fisher origiŽnally joined the Oilers in 1994 as the defensive coordinator after serving as defensive backs coach for the San Francisco 49ers from 1992-93. Prior to headŽing up the 49ers' secondary, Fisher served as the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams in 1991. Jeff Fisher began his coaching career with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1986, where he handled defenŽsive backs until becoming the NFL's youngest defensive coordinator in 1988. Drafted by Chicago in the seventh round in 1981, he spent five seasons as a corŽnerback and kick returner for the Bears from 1981-85. Jeff Fisher assisted defensive coordinaŽtor Buddy Ryan in Bears' 1985 Super Bowl championship season after being placed on injured reserve with ankle injury. Career record: 93-66.
Background: Played at Southern California from 1977-1980 for John Robinson in a star-studded defensive backfield that included Ronnie Loft, Dennis Smith, and Joey Browner. Jeff Fisher member of the USC team that won the national championship in 1978. Also served as the Trojans' backup placekicker and was a Pac-10 All-Academic selection in 1980.
Personal: Born February 25, 1958, in Culver City, Calif. Jeff and his wife, Juli, have three children, sons Brandon and Trenton, and daughter Tara. The family resides in Franklin, Tenn.
