Scotland Under 21s have fixed up a friendly against Northern Ireland soccer national team in Belfast next month, and it is proving to be a popular destination as the Under 19s and Under 17s will also be playing there in February. Rainer Bonhof will be hoping for a more successful year in 2005 after going through the last year without a win, and his youngsters take the Ireland national tickets purchased at The Oval in Belfast on Tuesday, 8 February, with a 7.30 pm kick-off. It will be the only international action that week, as new national coach Walter Smith has decided against a match and is taking the Scotland A squad to Manchester for a short training camp. Later in February, Scotland Under 19s are taking part in a four team tournament hosted by Northern Ireland, who are preparing to host the UEFA U19 Finals this summer. Scotland's three fixtures are against Spain at Ballymena Showgrounds on Saturday, 19 February (3.00 pm), Northern Ireland Tickets at the Oval on 21 February (7.30 pm) and finally against Ukraine at Seaview in Belfast on 23 February (7.30 pm). The Under 17s, meanwhile, will play two friendlies in Northern Ireland on 28 February and 2 March, as their final preparation before the UEFA qualifying tournament in Turkey in March.

One Scotland fixture which will not take place, however, is the Future Team match against Poland, which had been scheduled for a Scottish venue on 22 February.
